NOTICE: Changes to the Georgia Lien Law to take effect.
GEORGIA TO CHANGE LIEN LAW EFFECTIVE 3/31/09On February 20, 2008, the Georgia Senate passed Senate Bill 374, which will become effective March 31, 2009. Highlights of the changes to the statute include :
* A change to the time frame in which to file a lien
* A change to the time frame in which to file suit to enforce a lien
* A change to the verbiage of the lien
* Changes in the wording of lien waivers
