Job Summary
The Litigation Paralegal works as a liaison between clients and a national network of attorneys related to commercial collections matters. This position provides status updates and answers questions for clients, and coordinates with attorneys throughout the litigation and post-judgment stages.
Essential Responsibilities

Acts as a liaison between clients and a national network of attorneys

Maintains independent portfolio of cases

Corresponds with clients and attorneys via phone, email, and online portals to provide case updates and gather information

Reviews attorney and client information and provides feedback

Generates and reviews reports to communicate with clients and attorneys

Conducts jurisdiction-specific research and educates coworkers on findings

Reviews documentation (affidavits, complaints, settlement agreements, releases, waivers, etc.) for accuracy and makes or suggests revisions as necessary

Reviews attorney invoicing and client billing

Monitors the litigation and post-judgment processes to ensure efficient and effective outcomes

Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Certifications

Associate degree or paralegal certificate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred

Four or more years of experience in a professional legal setting

Ability to present information clearly and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to management, clients, and other staff members
