After a turbulent 2020, the NCS Lien Index (LI) reflected some return to normalcy in the latter quarters of 2020 and Q1 2021.
The Q1 2021 LI posted a -3.1. All US regions, except the southern states, have been trending down in total liens filed over the past year, with the northern states experiencing the steepest decline.
