Manager of Learning & Development

Job Summary

The Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for overseeing staff training and development throughout the organization, collaborating with all departments to ensure staff are properly trained throughout the employee life cycle.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assess training needs across departments and develop strategies to address training gaps
  • Design, develop, implement, and track training plans to ensure staff are up to date on required trainings
  • Research and recommend training programs, contacting providers and registering staff
  • Create training materials and processes
  • Communicate process changes to team and work to ensure processes are followed
  • Conduct surveys/assessments to gauge the effectiveness of programs
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to review, assess, and oversee internal training processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Develop and report on training metrics
  • Partner with vendors to schedule trainings and register employees
  • Deliver training on specific topics when needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or related field
  • 5 plus years of experience assessing, developing, and implementing staff training

  • Prolonged sitting while viewing a computer monitor
  • Frequent typing and use of keyboard/mouse
